Michel Gerson: “I consider my life, my daily routine, my body, my family, the people and things that I encounter … as a field of experimentation, as a specific tool for production. It is through the multiplicity of feelings, of events, of energy, of matter, and of the objects that surround me, that I am able to obtain the ‘material’ neccessary for my creative process.”
“Related to several artistic residencies abroad, I have developed artistic projects on identities and cultural peculiarities of human inhabitants and their territories. In India, in the city of Chennai, I designed logos for large companies: on my body, saris and jewelry adornments. In Japan in the city of Beppu, I wrote a novel and designed hybrid manga prints derived from my encounters.
In Bolivia in the city of La Paz, I realize a sculpture made fragments of two bodies of a man and a woman from Andean history.”
